It was just practice" thought Blake
His horse was exhaling slow and deep his dog beside him panting. Every breathe left a cloud of moisture in the cold dusk.

It all started hours earlier on a walk with his pets everyone was armored up for a practice farther down the ranch, a practice for dragon hunting on a simulator. Little to anyone's knowledge the simulator wouldn't need to be used on this cold day.
They walked into the large wherehouse hearing strange noises and vibrations of the floor. he mare kept being ancy which is normal for a noobhorse, but this wasn't the normal spooky that Blake was used to.

A loud crack was heard and the mare dropped from under Blake backing out of the building .
There it was in all of its glory a large dragon, young but ready to fight for a meal. All the hunters ran into the fight, Blake holding his horse back. She ripped at the bit crow hopping and squealing. She spelled at the reins pulling them from Blake's hands with ease running ahead of the other hunters horses.
The quick snaps and wind burbs of the arrows scared Blake, he pulled his arrows out and aimed for the beast, he had it in his sights took a breath and let go, the mare screamed and dropped down on her hind end. Blake looked down and saw the cause. Another warrior missed the beast and hit electric feel, as Blake tried to dismount the beast came closer, and naturally the mare backed quickly in fear, Blake pulled his bow back out and kept shooting until he finally got the chance to huot the beast. The arrows both hit the ribcage, a few minutes of fear passed before the beast dropped.

Silence took over. The war was done. Now all will be fed and safe.
